Start with his first official writing as Pope – issued March 1979 – Redemptor Hominis (Redeemer of Man)
The first line of this writing, and therefore the first official teaching statement of this great Christian leader as Pope, proclaims to the world and reminds each of us that,
“THE REDEEMER OF MAN, Jesus Christ, is the centre of the universe and of history.”
